Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a family with a strong musical background. She grew up listening mostly to classical music, old boleros and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is an avid fan of tangos. Also, she loves operas as well as any drama. Ana began learning and singing music with her mother, she began her more intensive training in singing when she was 16 working with the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical training in the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and when she was a professional young at the time in Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups and choruses. In 2000 she moved back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she returned to her new home in Southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. Her love and passion for art, music, and performing keeps her involved in many local projects as a teacher and performer. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher in The Performance Loft. Ana hopes, with her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill a passion, particularly among the younger generation to keep this tradition alive.
